Irony's Many Faces.
the woman in this photo is the mother of many children. she is spanish. as you read this she is probably sleeping. she has many, many years left to live because she's made out of the kind of material that doesnt fray.

she had several points of advice for me (i love it when people give advice - its the highest form of gift because, for one, the idea has to be strong enough that they've remembered it. for two, the idea has to be interesting enough that they're confident to share it and, for three, its not just any idea. its how one should LIVE so its local news of the fanciest flavor).
one word of advice was "dont use more than you need." and i think she said this cause she knew i was american. still working to change the world, this one. the other word of advice was "happiness is nature at work."
these were both nice.
about an hour later i came across one of france's many nuclear power generators shortly thereafter. 80% of france's power is nuclear and they sell it to the rest of europe. no accidents so far.
a little odd that the government runs so counter to this spanish woman's advice.
